I just want to share with those of you who do ebay to beware and make sure you are covered. For Those who do not know what happened I will explain again. I bought a Coach purse (scribble bag) sold it on ebay on 10/12/06 for $152.50 and $15 shipping. I offered shipping insurance which was declined by the buyer and now she is saying she never received it. I have 100% positive feedback and never had a problem! Paypal has decided to rule in her favor even though I have a receipt stating where it was shipped to but not the exact address. They said it was because I didn't put a tracking number on it even though paypal does not require you too. I feel so robbed by paypal and the buyer that I feel like crying. I asked ebay why they sided with her and they could not give me an answer but to say I should have put a tracking number on it. I offered insurance and she refused so I do not understand their decision. Not only am I out the $167.50 she originally paid for the item but I am also out the money it cost to ship it to her and the cost of listing fees and the fees paypal charged for the sale. The woman is proudly (I am almost positive) displaying the coach purse on her shoulder at the moment. I have another coach purse that retails for $348 and now I am petrified to put it on ebay. The sad part about all this is my daughter asked me to give her the Scribble purse for Christmas and I think I was just to greedy! I am so upset right now...I just needed to vent! ~~hugs and well wishes~` Chris I think I learned a lesson in this!

Chris, I am so sorry that happened to you. I buy allot but have never sold on there and everytime I buy something I hold my breath till it comes. Two weeks ago I purchased a mens Tiffany bracelet and it was quite pricey. I was so worried I would not get it. I bought two coach purses on there for my daughter and one was a fake! I think I will stick to the Coach store from now on to be sure I get the real thing. Can't you make them pay for insurance by including it in the shipping? Maybe that's the answer. Debbie

I am so sorry to hear this Chris- I cant believe that happened, this is another reason why I havent tried to do the ebay thing, I have been even hesitent to buy off of there as well. Unfortunately there are alot of dishonest people out there and it really stinks when you run into them-I wish you the best and again am sorry that this happened to you Lori

That really sucks Chris I guess I will stick with shipping only through UPS. that way it is insured and there is always a tracking number. I get women who complain that the shipping cost is to high with UPS but I won't budge. Got to protect me first.

That really sucks Chris. In the future, use the Priority Mail flat Rate boxes.. so you know the exact shipping amount, and then ship it through PayPal. They will give you the option of USPS or UPS and they will give you a free tracking #. I too had something similar happen to me... and it sucks!!!! Susan
