It Takes Alot To Throw Me But.....
You know things have been going well for me for too long. Last week I had my cataract surgery and it all went great. I can now drive without having to wear glasses.......it's been 15 years since I could do that.
Well then in the shower the other day, yep, I found a lump in my right breast. Luckily I had an appointment to see my surgeon for my 9 month followup appointment today. He also does this type of stuff and he immediately scheduled me for a diagnostic mammogram this Friday and then after I go to his office and he will do a needle biopsy. I'm OK with all that but there's more
Then next week sometime I will be scheduled for a Lumpectomy. I'm not too freaked, I had a lump at 18 in my left breast and it was just a benign cyst and this is probably the same type of thing, and Dr. said that often when you have lost alot of weight these things show up and it might have been there for along time
So I'm a bit freaked because it's moving so fast and yet am glad that it is so I don't have time to dwell too much. Does that make sense?
I did get him to set a goal weight for me finally! He said based on my height, body frame and age 190 would be just great. Which means I have a whole 17 pounds to go. He did say we can reevaluate once I get to the 190....so that was at least something good today.
So my sisters, and brothers, think good thoughts for me on Friday morning.
Sending hugs to you all,
Ronna
Ronna,
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have had some lumps as well and they have all been cysts. I am confident yours will be the same. I am glad they are doing all they can quickly, sometimes the waiting for things like that is the worst.
You are doing so good and I am glad that your surgery went well. What a blessing!
