Wow you have done great! I have been stuck for about a month now, but not giving up. I need to lose 38 more lbs. If I didn't lose any more weight I would be disappointed, but okay with it. I am not giving up, and am determined to lose these last lbs. I would hate to think we would stop losing...after all I only eat 1200 to 1400 calories. Technically I would think we should still lose. So I am thinking that it is just a plateu.
Keep up the good work!

Topic: RE: Severe pouch pain!
Rhonda I am so sorry about your pain hopefully it will be short lived. About 2 months ago I had almost the same symptoms you are describing. What it was finally diagnosed as was a gas bubble. The doctors felt either I was eating to fast or swallowing to fast and either the food or air was causing my pouch to expand to far to fast, the air or food was basically trapped in itself and had to travel through the intestinal tract that way. Slowing down my chewing and intake has almost totally aleviated the problem. I still have it a little when eating or swallowing liquids to fast. Hope that helps. Peg

Pat,
I had no pain at all. Discomfort for sure but no real pain. I took things very slow when I got home and found sleeping OK with lots of pillows propped around me. I bought 2 large bean bag pillows which were great as you could move the beans around to where you didn't want pressure. I got them at penneys on sale for 9. ea.
I took a total of 2 pain pills and then stopped as they made me nauscoius. I really didn't need them
I had my surgery on Wed the 25th of Jan and was back to work 2 1/2 weeks later on 2/13.
Belt Lipectomy, mons lift & muscle tightening; Bilateral Mastopexy, breast lift; Bilateral Brachioplasty, arms. In conjunction with insurance approved Panniculectomy. (My terms, Full lower body lift with muscle tightening& mons lift, Boob lift and arm wings clipped) ( I did not have implants).
Surgical Fee: $11,500 - 1,150 (Multi procedure discount) = 10,350 (includes pre & post operative care) Hospital & Anesthesia charges: Facility 2,800, Anesthesia 1,352, Total 4,152. Total charge out of pocket is 14,502.

Hi Mary!! Thank you so much for sharing your photos. You are looking wonderful!!!
I am having a TT on March 6th and am getting a little scared because I know it is going to hurt much more than the lap rny.
My plastic surgeon advised me against having my arms and thighs done because I told him that I always form really bad scar tissue after surgery.
Even the little incisions from the lap rny have become red raised bumps on my stomach. But I in no way regret having the surgery. It has completely changed my life. He told me than he felt that I would be very unhappy with the results. I'm glad that he was upfront with me.
I really appreciate you sharing the photos. At least now I can get a perspective of what to expect. I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions.
How long were you in really bad pain that hampered you from any type of normal activity. How were you able to sleep, and what was the most comfortable position? Did you have a TT or a total body lift? I don't believe I will be having anything done to my backside this time. So would that be considered a TT instead of a total body lift? Were you in the hospital at all? My surgeon performs the surgery and than I will be coming home the same day. Ouch! I'm not sure about that!!
Shucks, I did have a hernia before the lap rny and had it repaired, so my insurance will not be paying for my TT!! I thought it was fairly reasonable
at $6,400.00.
Take care of yourself and God Bless. I will keep you updated.
Love and Aloha, Pat
Topic: Severe pouch pain!
Hello all. I cannot get any answers from doctors, so.. here I am. I have been having severe pouch pain off and on for several months, not all the time. I woke up with it again this am. It is sometimes so bad that I cannot stand up straight. No barfing or pain anywhere else just the pouch, as the day goes on it will travel thru my intestines and then its gone. It centers around the pouch on the left side. Been to the ER and they did ultrasound and cannot find anything. Gallbladder is fine. Blood tests are fine. Surgeon has no clue, he started me back on pepcid. Doesn't help. Cannot link it with certain foods etc. Sometimes I just wake up with it. Any insight?

Ohhh my thighs are yucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe next year for them. I am happy for now with the rest, but I am not ready to go through another surgery now. So maybe in the fall or next winter I will do them.

Thanks for sharing your pics. I wish I could get all of that plastics done when I go in. I also need my thighs done too.
I can have the tummy tuck but they are unsure if my insurance will cover it because I do not have a hernia and I do not have a rash or anything underneath my skin. Oh well there is always wishful thinking.
You are looking awesome!!

Can you tell us the name of your surgeon? Did you have the work done in Albany? I am always shocked at surgeons using staples for cosmetic procedures.
