Topic: RE: Reminder that I am not normal
hi jenn i had a similar experience yesterday at lunch -- at work, no less! oh well, most of my coworkers know all about me, so it really doesn't matter. but it hadn't happened to me in so long, i was really surprised. i guess i must have eaten too quickly...it was chicken for me too...which i eat for lunch nearly every day! but it was kind of comforting to realize the tool is there, and still working!! deb -254 (10 lbs. to onederland!)

Topic: Reminder that I am not normal
Well I have not gotten sick in so long, I think I may have forgotten my stomach is not normal. Last night I guess I did not chew my chicken well enough and I got so sick. I was ill for 3 hours and my stomach is still really senstive today. Just a reminder to myself, that I will always have to be careful. Jenn

Topic: RE: Narcotic Addiction?
Karen, Even though you don't want to talk to your surgeron b/c he yells at you, please discuss the Methadone with him. It may be an irritant to your pouch which could be causing the nausea & pain. Also, the fact that you've been on narcotic meds could have slowed your weight loss which may be why you haven't made his wl goal. Also, tell him you don't like being yelled at - ask him to give you constructive crititsism and suggestions to help you attain your goal, not to belittle or humiliate you. Good luck! Vickie J.

Hey There everyone, I know it has been quite a while since I posted on the board but I wanted to at least give you an update on me and let you know that you are all still in my thoughts. I turned 7 months pregnant today and I am getting to the point where I am getting really excited about my babies much awaited arrival. At first I was very concerned about having gotten pregnant so soon after surgery and regaining the weight back but at this point I am just greatful that she is healthy and growing good. I just wanted to share my joy with you all and tell you to have a wonderful weekend. Tiffany

Topic: Narcotic Addiction?
I am recovering from a severe case of shingles which my md had me on extremely strong narcotics and I developed complications. Now he is treating me for narcotic addition. He is having me take Methadone. I am having nausua and stomach pain with it. I'm concerned about my "pouch" (I had surgery 1/10/05) I have lost 85 pounds ...it has been a long hard road to lose it! Dr. Shina yells at me everytime I see him because I have not made his goal (I am 14 pounds from his goal). So I don't want to go back to him. Does anyone know whether Methadone can hurt my pounch? Topic: RE: Constipation
I take the chewable benefiber everyday and every nite I take a stool softner. It is a prescribed powder and tastless. It is called Glycolax. I drink it in camimille tea (which is also good for gas). I do not miss a nite without drinking it after being hospitalized over constipation. Good Luck Joni
