I hear you.I am in size 6 from a 24 and I still look at 14 and 16 pants and outfits because I am having trouble realizing they are too big for me now,but I keep looking at them.Congrats!

I can completly understand where you are coming from. I am down to a size 11/12 and can't believe it either. I hold stuff up and think "Yeah that's almost going to fit." I still feel at times like I am squeezing the size 20 body into a 12. So hopefully someday my mind will catch up with the rest of me. I can actually wear 10 in some brands, but my mind just won't let me. It's awesome to lose this weight, but my mind needs to kick it up a notch and catch up! Stacy 225/150/120ish

Char, Congrats on the size change ... that's awesome... I went through the same thing this morning trying to find something to wear to church! What I had picked out last night, from my ... "going back down through the sizes clothes" (neglected to try it on at the time ) swam on me... And I really liked that dress too!!! darn won't ever be able to wear it again!!!! Sometimes don't know if I want to giggle or lament... H-mm-m-m..let's see....new clothes...old sizes... which do I prefer???? Good luck, V.

I guess you call this denial?! or the mental "I'm still fat" syndrome? Well--the last few days I've been out school shopping for my two kids who go back to school on the 19th. Well, I caught a glimpse of my pathetic size 16 jean shorts in a mirror on my way out of the dressing room with my daughter. I decided right then I was going to buy a smaller pair. These saggy butt shorts need to go. Soooo I am looking through all these Levi's and can't decide what size to take in to try on. So I stand there debating. 16, 14, 12, ?? Well, I thought maybe the size 16's that I've been wearing were just tagged wrong. So I grabbed a pair of 16's and was off to the dressing room. HELLO! Nope! TOO BIG! So back out to get a size 14. "These will never fit!" But I'll try them. Guess what? TOO BIG! So I finally grabbed two different size 12's because you know they might be tagged wrong! lol Well...guess what?! They fit! So then I have to continue to argue with myself a bit longer before I finally decide that maybe I really am a size 12 now. How long does this mental stuff take to overcome? I was heavy for 10 years so maybe it'll take that long to decide I'm not fat?! Anyway, I am so excited to be losing apparently inches because my scale sure hasn't wanted to go down much lately. But this week I'm going to get tough on myself and cut out all breads and just stick with proteins, more water, and switch back to decaf coffee in the morning. Hopefully this will help give me a boost again. Well, I've gone on enough here. I changed my photo's on here. For those *****member previous posts from me, I had on a purple outfit with blonde long curly hair and a burnt neck in the photo. So now I put my "true" before picture and also my June update. Hope you are all doing well! We're all gettin' sexier by the day! Char 269/189/140ish

It's funny everybody is mentioning a weight gain. I too got on the scale this morning and have gained 3 lbs. I went to a support meeting last night and have decided to eliminate anything white. What I mean is Flour, Sugar, Rice that kind of stuff. Not that I was stuffing my face with it, but I guess what I'm trying to say is: Back to Basics. Protein, Water, Vitamins. Those were the things I was taught and the last week and a half I've moved away from that. I've let myself become to busy. I'm not tending to business. I will say that I have continued to exercise. Its my one saving grace. I've only lost 65 lbs since my surgery on the 28th and a total of 69 since Jan. 6th. I will not let this get me down. I will just go back to what I know works. So, I guess thats what I'm trying to tell you, go back to what you know works for you. I wish you continued success with your program.
