My surgeon was Dr.Peter Hedberg in Durant, OK. Big city experience with the home town Dr.! Dr. Hedberg was/is a very skilled surgeon. I must say I was not so happy when he turned me down the first time I went to him for WLS, but I now know why. You got to be sure this is what you want, and are ready for. If your not ready, sucess is just a word. Love the ladies in the office, Ellen, Patty, Leslie(Mrs.H), they are very compassionate people. Nothing but good in my book! Posted on 02/27/2003 |

dr. hedberg was very infomative about the surgery. i was denied the first time his office sent in info to Aetna, they did not help at all with th appeal said they had never had to do one so i was on my own there. i was just approved today 12-09-02 so i really dont have much to go on I am just feeling so blessed now i am about burst. i go in tommorow for details for what to do before surgery on 12-31-02 OH YEA OH YEA. more later on what to know about the doc, one thing i do know is i was dealing with a time limit on when i could have the surgery our ins. co. is changeing after the first of the year and Dr. Hedberg schedualed my surgery date even before i was approved so that if it did happen i was covered. so i guess in my book he has been great. I had my first visit with Dr. Hedberg and I really did like him. He answered most of my questions before I asked him. My husband and oldest daughter went with me to meet him for the first time and they also was very impressed with him. His staff seemed nice and friendly, hopefully they will stay that way while I am waiting on my approvel from the insurence. The only thing I did not care for was he seemed so serious which was great but he could have smiled some. Posted on 10/31/2002 |
