I am very happy with Dr. Allen. He has always been very pleasent to me and has a reassuring personality. I do wish that the support group would meet more than once a month. I would recommend him and the team that he works with to others without hesitation.    Posted on 09/11/2008

I really liked Dr Allen on first meeting have not seen him since Aug 2007 and it is 2008 He said my surgery should be Nov or Dec so I waited until Feb 2008 and then I started calling but the calls were never returned. Finally got a hold of someone and they put me in touch with Celeste. She found out that my record had been put on hold because Rita had been in an accident and my insurance had not been filled. It was sent to Tricare and I received an answer 14 Mar saying it would cover it. Here it is 26 of Mar and I still have not been scheduled. This is the office staffs negligence. Hoping to be scheduled soon. Am looking forward to having this done    Posted on 05/28/2008

Dr. Allen performed the Lapband on my mom and others from my church. When I went to the DR with my mom, he had the greatest attitude and bedside manner! I know he is the greatest out there - every test I had to take and DR I had to see, they all said great things about him and recommended him highly and said he was the best!    Posted on 05/19/2008

Dr. Allen was very nice and didn't look down at me or treat me like a lot of Drs. have. I really liked him    Posted on 01/29/2008

My first meeting with Dr. Allen was great. He was very informative and very compassionate. He did seem to be a little bit of on demand by his staff on this particular day but, overall I was pleased. I have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Allen from my PCP and others. I hope and pray that all of the positive feedback continues. I'm a firm believer of a Dr. having a good bedside manner and being compassionate to his/her patients.    Posted on 11/28/2007

I was very impressed when I met Dr. Allen in August, 07. He didn't seem all rushed and made sure I had any info I needed and if I needed more where to get it. He does explain the risks of such a major surgery and emphasize after care which all surgeons connected through Norton's do. He also knew I had already researched my surgery A LOT and had already swithced surgeons once, so I had educated myself really well through my journey. lol As an update now that I have had surgery I still say Dr Allen is wonderful. He is a very talented and caring person. I was also lucky to have (semi met) some of the other surgeons in the practice, they were all wonderful too.    Posted on 11/28/2007

At first I didn't know how to take Dr. Allen. He seemed kinda distant to me. However, as time has gone by, I really like him. He told me if he actually believed these surgeries were that dangerous, he would not even perfrom them. I believe he is a top notch weight loss surgeon. There does seem to be a lot of mix up in his office, not on his part, but the staff that works there. There were lots of problems dealing with one person in particular.    Posted on 11/17/2007

He took his time...which explains the long wait to see him! But afterwards I coul not have been more secure in my decision on type of surgery and the surgeon I wanted to do it. The office staff has a few bad seeds...try to overlook them because the others are really great!    Posted on 10/14/2007

My first impression was, he was nice and I really liked him. And that hasn't changed so far. The only problem I have is the office staff is I had a class and didn't know where to go and had to call them on my way, which was about 4 or 5 times leaving messages for them to please call me. I never got a phone call back. And after I get to preregistry my surgery date was wrong adn my surgeon was wrong, but that was because they have a new scheduling nurse. They changed me from the 20th to the 18th at 2:00 p.m. and then again at 11:00 p.m. and than I got another call the day before for 10:00 p.m. There is nothing I didn't like about him. I think he's the best in this field. His aftercare is great, I never seen so many people in my room before and after checking on my. I knew all... [Click here for more]
