Our practice is absolutely dedicated to excellence in all fields of surgery that we practice and we have had a long standing reputation for providing the latest and the best surgical care to our patients. We have taken a very special interest in tackling the disease of obesity. We created a comprehensive weight loss center at The Methodist Hospital and have been doing gastric bypass and now lap band with very low complication rates. We understand that these surgeries are a tool and we have designed a comprehensive aftercare program so that our patients can learn how to use that tool more effectively. We strive to provide compassionate care and are always available for our patients in times of need. We have a dietician, psychologist, exercise therapist, support groups, and insurance specialists to help you navigate your way to a new life!

We are unique in that we do gastric bypass, gastric band, and sleeve gastrectomy. We therefore can meet with you individually and help you decided which is best for you.

I graduated with high honors from University of Texas where I was awarded most outstanding student at the university. I then went to Baylor College of Medicine where I graduated in the top 10% of my class and was awarded most outstanding surgery student. I did my residency at University of Michigan where I was appointed as administrative chief resident. I am board certified and active in the American Society of Bariatric Surgery. Currently I serve as medical director for weight loss surgery at Methodist and at University General hospital. I have also been selected as Texas Super Doc for 3 years.
