Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

What's wrong with me?
on March 31, 2007 10:53 pm

Ahhhhhhhhhhh what a day.  I have been wierd in the head all day long.  I have been thinking of all the risks, especially with my bmi and open rny.  So I obsess over that most of the day and wonder if I am doing the right thing. I guess it's finally sinking in, instead of a dream it is a dream about to come true!  I know I have to have it, I don't have a choice.

Later I went to wal-mart and was riding in the chair because of course I can't walk.  While shopping some teenagers said "hey mam" and I said "hello"  they then started yelling "YOU TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAT!!! SHES TOOOOOOOO FAT TO WALK!!!!!!!!!

I cried and cried and it just confirms I shouldn't think twice about having this surgery.

Thursday I met with Norma, had my appointment with the psychologist, wrote the approval for me to go ahead with surgery.  I had my appointment with Dr. Ross he was wonderful, very good bedside manner, which I'm not used to!
He submitted a letter to Medicaid, and said it could take 4-6 weeks for approval. I can't wait to start a new life!
