Surgeon Testimonial

Benjamin Hung, M.D.
I had already had a surgeon but I felt like there was something missing. I attended the pre-op educational class/seminar that Dr. Sudan gives and I knew he was the one. I was very impressed with his knowledge, confidence and background (which he covers in the class). I thought the staff was great, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the time it took them to respond to my phone calls/emails was minimal. Dr. Sudan covered the risks that were possible in my case by making sure the appropriate tests/records were completed and obtained before my surgery would get his approval. Through the whole process(pre-op class to 1 week visit) in my opinion Dr. Sudan and his staff are top notch. (8-26-08) I had to switch due to Dr. Sudan leaving for Duke U.

My Story

I had been in the process of finding the right Dr. for about 3 1/2 yrs.  It wasn't until a year and a half ago I started getting real serious about it because I had overcome my struggle with PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome), and I knew my chances of succeeding with the surgery were much better.  PTSD effects every aspect of your life, right down to the physical chemistry inside your brain.  It was a very difficult fight, but vital.  Anyways, I had started to actually enjoy life and that prompted me to take further steps to make myself healthier and after being dissatisfied with my surgeon I attended a seminar at Creighton U in Omaha and decided then I would see Dr. Sudan.  A few months later I had my surgery on April 24, 2008.  I am getting along great, I am lucky to not have had any problems, I have followed the directions that were gave to me and I am happy with the results.  Yes, I still crave fatty greasy foods, but I know I will never eat them again.  Food truly can be an addiction, and what I have learned from addictions is once you quit you can never go back, and once you do it's over.  So, hence the mindset, "I will never eat them again".  I hope this has helped someone and please feel free to message me.  May 9th, 2008
