Still in recovery mode. Went back to work Monday but man I moved slow. Had doc script me anti nausea meds...was having way too much trouble. That seems to be getting better. Trying to get all my fluids in today...went for a walk.
Getting ready to fly out to a job interview

on Monday so wish me luck...prayers...all of the above!

Whew! Peed enough for them to pull the drain and go home. Got home a couple of hours ago. Took liquid lortab and went to sleep for a couple of hours. Eating a popsicle now and then walk around abit. Thanks guys for being there for me.

swinging lizards for you from my hosptial bed ring now

been doing really good. it is 2am and since i slept most of the day iam awake and pain free due to great meds. stay ahead of the pain cycle my friend

the stupid bowel prep was horrible..the surgery/recover has been far better.

doing really good...pain meds working will be taken for my walk soon. only problem is with my blood pressure but they took care of it with injectable meds. thanks for the prayers i appreciate very much

Today is my last day with the ole tummy!!!!

We leave at 7:30 in order to be at the hospital at 10.00 Surgery at noon. Stay overnight and discharge Tuesday afternoon. Wifi is in the room so either I or my hubby will post. Wish me luck!!!

Good Morning! I got to sleep in till 9am!

It felt sooo good. I had a business meeting and had the roommate from you know where. She uses a sound machine and refused to turn it off.

I have a rare liver disease that causes fatigue so the 2nd night I left the room and got a room of my own. Company will just have to deal with it. But I feel much better today. Eating SF Jello and drinking Isopure for breakfast...mmm...yum yum

I am officially on vacation!!!

Thanks everyone! Nice to have my sleeve buddies along for the ride. I will be gone from house all this week Mon-Fri traveling for work. Brought my medifast and isopure with me and then get down to business on Saturday. Saw the Psych today and it was very helpful to continue to identify problem areas. Tomorrow I will see my surgeon for last minute instructions. Whoo Hoo! Grabbed some stuff at Trader Joes today in KC. I think I am ready!

That is too funny Julie! We already had our heads examined. Like I said in my post I see the Psych tomorrow. I guess it is to go over the questionaire I filled out. Did you have to do that too?

8 more days till my new tummy! Next Monday August 1st I will have my VSG! Yippee!!! It's almost here. Let's see...tomorrow I see the Psych and Tuesday the Surgeon one last time. I have my stuff bought that I need to bring to the hospital with me. I have protein shakes, Isopure,Celebrate Vits at home. Just found a Trader Joes located in KC so when I am up in KC I will pick up a few supplies from them. Broths, teas, coconut H20, etc. Ideas I got from other fine folks from OH. Cannot thank everyone here for all your support, information, and sharing of your surgery journeys to help me with my upcoming journey. Have not gotten scared yet. The only thing I have gotten scared over is how bad my house is going to get while I am recovering!
