    Hi,
today while bending over twice while in a hurry i suddenly had this (gush) of liquid come out of my nose,,with nothing in my mouth  to cause it to do that..this is similar to being in a swimming pool and getting water up your nose then it burns ,yes even had a tiny bit of burn while coming out,,.i was not in a swimming pool ,,nor had no water in my mouth,,Has anybody had this happen? If so what was it? Not sure this needs a doctors attention. Thanks......Wendy

I have heard of people having spinal fluid come out of their nose.  George Clooney was on TV talking about it!!  Definitely call the doc.....don't mess around with it.

I had that problem!  Water ran out of my nose like a faucet, even while I slept at night.  I went to one dr. 3 different times and he said it was a sinus infection.  I had a cat scan done and he still thought it was a sinus infection.  I went to another dr. for a second oppenion along with a copy of the cat scan.  He found that I had a whole in my sinus and it was leaking spinal fluid!  Had surgery and they foun three small wholes to patch.  The surgen said that he has had several cases like this and it has been women that have been overweight.  He told me that it was due to pressure and that  it was a good thing that I was loosing weight.  sorry so long)

If you are not having any allergy or cold symptoms, this could be a sign of a head injury.

Did you have any blows to the head that you remember?

    That you DON'T remember?  (teasing!)

Have you had headache with no other explanation?

    Call your doctor about this!!!

I've had water run out of my nose also, but I know for a fact that mine is sinus.  If its huge amounts then I would worry, but if its only a couple of drips, it could very well be that you need to blow your nose and didn't even realize it.

Either way, good luck!!  Talk to your dr.

This has happened quite a bit with me lately as well.  However, it happened a couple times in years past during allergy season.  You might want to take a mild allergy medication until you can see the doc to be able to report to him whether or not it has an effect (i.e. to help him diagnose or rule out allergies).
